Peperomia verschaffeltii
Peperomia verschaffeltii
Peperomias are a pan tropical semi-succulent plant of which there are over 1000 species. Grown for their ease and interesting foliage, these plants have a small and attractive quality, that makes them ideal as house plants. Peperomias are also great in terrariums.
Some peperomias are from arid areas and are best treated as a succulent while others are from rainforests and require consistent moisture and humidity to thrive. Peperomias from arid areas will require a succulent mix, drier conditions and can handle part to full sun.
Rainforest varieties require more moisture, although they still like to dry out a little between watering. A mix of coco peat and perlite (about 20%) is ideal, with regular feeding to encourage growth.
