This sought-after variety produces, small, 5 - 10 kg, low latex fruits filled with crunchy, deep orange arils that are considered superior to other varieties. A true giant of the forest but surprisingly easy to keep pruned for a more manageable tree, or let it reach its true potential in larger gardens. The green fruit and seeds are edible, making an ideal vegetable. Jackfruits are, nutritious and prolific, ideal as a survivalist crop. The timber is termite resistant, golden and well granied. Jackfruits do not like frost but will survive cooler nights, especially with lots of mulch, organic food and a warm sheltered position.
