Fast-growing, small to medium-sized tree with deep glossy green leaves and an attractive growth habit to 9 meters under the right conditions. Produces fruits, up to 1.5 kilos that are sweet, tangy and delicious. Popular served cold or used in juices and smoothies. A true tropical, the Soursop requires humidity, warmth and protection from cool weather and will not tolerate frosts. Deep, rich, well-drained soil with a neutral PH is best, although they will also grow in sandy conditions provided there is ample moisture. Young plants require protection from sun and strong winds but will take full sun once established. Ideal for backyards and large properties alike. Prune to shape if required. Prone to scale and mealy bugs, use a horticultural oil if required.
